Who we are

We help therapists pause and close their businesses.

We are therapists too, so we know that you run a unique kind of business. Therapy is all about relationships, and those relationships are sacred. As professionals, we are deeply committed to helping all people access high quality therapy.

Prior to founding Time Well Spent Consulting, we heard some stories. Just like therapy, some of those stories are painful, like a story about a therapist who was killed in a car accident and her spouse had to go to her office and inform clients as they arrived for their appointments. Another about a therapist who had a serious medical incident and no one had any way to contact their clients. Stories about clinical files being tossed in dumpsters, stories about unpaid bills and taxes, stories about large-scale data breaches.

But we heard happy stories too. Stories about the relief that comes from quality coverage when families are home with a new baby. About the freedom to take a real sabbatical. Stories where therapists could take time to care for aging parents and be really present in that relationship. A therapist who could use his focus to navigate a divorce in a thoughtful and caring way.

We got motivated

So we built Time Well Spent Consulting to reduce your worry and cognitive load to free up space for creativity and care. Whatever life has brought your way, you deserve support to do your work safely, ethically, and sustainably

We established Time Well Spent Consulting to support therapists from behind the scenes. Therapists have so much to worry about: our clients, our businesses, our communities, our families. We need to take care of ourselves too.

We want to help you take care of yourself by creating plans for pausing or closing your business with empathy and ethics.

You’ve spent years cultivating relationships and that was time well spent. Choose Time Well Spent Consulting to support you in safeguarding the sanctity of that time.

When the time comes to close your practice, you deserve to feel confident in the plan you’ve made.
